Data sovereignty
You own your data.
We look after it.
We are not a data broker that happens to show charts. We are a tool you pay to store, aggregate, and display your own visitor data. The difference is how we treat it when you are not looking.
Four firm promises
This is not "best practice". This is written into our DPA, coded into the architecture, and central to our license.
We do not sell your data
Never. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to AI companies that want to train models. Your traffic data is not our revenue model. Your subscription is.
No third parties watching
No ad pixels, no retargeting trackers, no business partners in the data path. Stripe only sees billing data, not visitor data. Resend (email) only sees an email address plus a template. Nobody else.
Everything hosted in the EU
Servers in the EU, backups in the EU. We are moving to a Swedish data center during 2026. No US sub-processor in the data path. Schrems II safe: your data never leaves the EU.
We do not train AI on your data
Not our own models, not OpenAI's, not anyone's. The weekly reports and every analysis are template-rendered text. No LLM ever sees your event data.
Your rights, plainly put
Ownership is meaningless if you cannot exercise it. Here is what you can actually do with your data with us.
Request all your data (Art. 15)
Your profile has a form. You fill it in, we email you your complete data export within 30 days (usually 1 to 3 days). CSV and JSON, your sites, your events, your account data.
Go to your profileDelete your account (Art. 17)
A button in your profile. A 14-day grace period (to prevent impulse deletion), then total deletion: subscription cancelled, event data gone, account data gone. Nothing left in backups after about 30 days.
Manage your accountDPA under GDPR Art. 28
A pre-filled data processing agreement generated automatically at sign-up. It references Swedish law and states our role as data processor. A PDF, download it whenever.
Read our DPAMigrate away whenever you want
No lock-in formats, no exclusive data structures. Your event data is pageviews in plain text. Export it, import it into the next tool, we will not cry. We would rather keep you with a good product than with contract screws.
Migration guidesWhat "you own your data" means across different tools
Every privacy analytics tool promises "you own your data". The difference is how far they take that promise in practice.
Sources: each vendor's public documentation as of 2026-05. We update this table when any of us changes something material. If you think something is wrong, email [email protected] and we will fix it.
Want to know HOW we do it?
This page is about what ownership means. The security page is about how we deliver on the promise technically: ISO 27001, ISO 27018, SOC 2, dataflow diagrams, security practices.
