Installation
Two ways to install. The easiest is straight from WordPress.org. If you prefer to install manually, the ZIP file is still here.
Search for "Spårlös" in WP admin
- In WP admin: Plugins → Add New.
- Search for Spårlös (or Sparlos).
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- Go to Settings → Spårlös → Connect to Spårlös.

How it works
Three steps, two minutes tops.
1. Install the plugin
Search for "Spårlös" in WordPress under Plugins → Add New. Or download the ZIP file and install it manually.
2. Click Connect
In admin under Settings → Spårlös. A tab opens where you log in to sparlos.se (or create an account) and confirm.
3. The data starts flowing
The plugin turns Spårlös on automatically across all public pages. Your first visit shows up in the dashboard within 30 seconds.

Where is the plugin on WordPress.org?
The plugin is live on WordPress.org. Search "Spårlös" (or "Sparlos") in WordPress under Plugins → Add New, or go to wordpress.org/plugins/sparlos-analytics. You can also download the ZIP file and install it manually. Updates happen automatically through WordPress when you install from WordPress.org.
Do I need to show a cookie banner?
No. Spårlös sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses or other direct identifiers. No banner is required under the interpretation of GDPR and ePrivacy from the Swedish data protection authority (IMY). You avoid the friction that kills conversion.
What is proxy mode?
Normally the Spårlös code is loaded from sparlos.se. Some ad blockers match on that host and then block analytics. Proxy mode lets your own WordPress serve the code from a path under your domain, so ad blockers see no third party. WordPress proxies onward to Spårlös internally. It is a single checkbox to enable under Advanced.
Does the plugin affect page load time?
The tracking snippet is under 1.5 KB gzipped and loads with the defer attribute. It never blocks rendering. We have tested it across several Lighthouse audits and the impact is negligible.
Does it work on multilingual sites (WPML / Polylang)?
Yes. Spårlös collects pageviews regardless of language or URL structure. If you want to compare traffic between languages, do it via UTM or path filtering in the dashboard.
What happens if I uninstall the plugin?
The snippet is no longer injected and the plugin settings are removed from WordPress. Your data on Spårlös and your account are untouched. Log in to sparlos.se if you want to delete it there too.
Not using WordPress?
